Transparency of Government in Nicaragua
This NGO is publishing a whole series of heavy articles in Spanish. Found a pull-out section tucked inside the Ella pull out section of END. The particular article was typical and titled "rendicion de cuentas" regarding accounts for projects departments and deputies before and after the 2006 election. 8 A3 pages, lots of graphics. The web site gives a summary of each article and offers to download them but the download didn't work. I registered and tried 3 different documents - no downloads. There is a place for you to provide blog-style feedback and that works. Will see what support options I can find. This is unbelievable but trueI was interested in this one book about countering corruption and tried clicking and downloading and nothing worked. Then today Saturday October 13 2007, 2 days after clicking the link, my adoptive son Rodney comes in the door carrying this book. Almost new. Said a guy in the hotel opposite, all the way from Wiwili, wanted to sell it to me for 150 cordobas.I don't get offered books often - but the exact one I clicked on 48 hours previously! Amazon is doomed if this delivery mechanism is repeatable! ( categories: )
