Does anybody know what this little creature is?Submitted by lincolngardner on 3 October, 2007 - 19:02.
![]() This photo was taken at Selva Del Mar, Gigante, Nicaragua. Our caretaker, Vidal, calls it a "Quioso". It looks like a lemur. It has a prehensile tail, and likes to hang upside down and eat fruit from our Noni trees. It moves slowly, like a sloth. I couldn't find any other info on it. Maybe I misspelled the name. Can anybody help identify it? ( categories: )

Kinkajou
I think it is a Kinkajou. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinkajou
I have come across them
several times. My campesino friends call them "Mountain cats". Form the way it moves it seems to belong to the sloth family.
