Who is Evil?
While reading "reviews" on Ortega's UN speech, I tripped on a blog called Quran Bible. Here the author offers his analysis on wiether Ahmadinejad or Bush is evil.
Many years ago I went to a talk by Eduardo Galiano. The thing I remember from the talk is him saying "History is written from the point of view of the victor". While "the war" isn't over between Ahmadinejad and Bush, you can already see the two possible "historical accounts" being put together.
i can't deny a single thing
in that web site. but i don't believe the conclusion drawn is correct. heck, if you believe islam is the true religion and it is ok to kill in the name of allah, then what is evil about ahmadenijad? he is only doing what his brand of fundamental islam is tellng him to do? nothing dishonorable with that? heck, he has even said that israel needs to be wiped off the face of the earth and that usa is the great satan. his words and actions are true, right? he is honoring his words, right? afghanistan sponsored al - quaeda. the 19 high jackers were alquaeda. i believe that was a limited war that was not prosecuted as agressively as it should have been. bush failed to close the exits. an iraqi general says sadam moved his wmd to syria. the usa inteligence community dropped the ball on that one. moreover, sadam would have been a counterbalance to iran. he would not have allowed iran to get nukes. iran is fighting a proxy war with the usa, even liberal columbian president bolinger admits that. this is a world goverened by the violent use of force. but, the usanos have lost their will to survive. i have already bought my prayer rug. Is there really an evil, anymore? Al Taqiyya.

that was titled
george bush is funny. and he is. machmoud ahmadenijad, the former hostage taker, is not. it is a crazy, mixed up world.
So why not
throw your hands in the air, shout out "the hell with it", sell the house and move to that lovely piece of Nicaragua you have ?
It's a rat race and the rats are winning.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate
that is a great idea....
but i have 3 small kids to raise. and i believe the usa is unfortunately the police force for the world.
Regarding the USA as "...the police force for the world)
I doubt very much that most of the world's population view America's military machinations as "policing" (in the tradition sense of the word). I suspect that most peoples globally view America's 'police force' as nothing more than a modern version of a Gengis Kahn - modern barberism at its' best.
Raising children
is the most important thing you will ever do with your life, passing a decent set of values into another generation. All kidding aside I really appreciate that.
And from that youTube above President Bush appreciates "you trying to put food on your family." ;)
Isn't being the police force to the world leaving a fantastic financial burden to that next generation ?
I am all for making sure everyone plays nice, but at what cost ? Israel just requested that we send their foreign aid in Euros!

Nice to know our "allies" have so much confidence
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate
you are the most reasoned
debater on this site and i respect you. i explain things to my children that were never explained to me. as my dear liberal momma would say, that's not right or wrong, just different. yes, bush is funny, he is not a great communicator. i think chauncey the gardener from the movie Being There (1979) was a better speaker. yes, being the police force for the world is leaving a tremendous burden and it is not fair that the usa shoulder the whole thing. shoot, wasn't the first gulf war bc the us ambassador to iraq didn't tell saddam, no, sir, the usa will not sanction you taking kuwait. that was a costly blunder. shouldn't someone have told her what her job was? and that was bush 41, the communicator of the 2. i have had it with accountability. but i thought jfk said that usa will bear any burden, pay any price to see that democracy is safe in this world? maybe he should have gotten a treaty with the rest of the free western world that they chip in per capita? and israel has some nerve if they asked for aid in euros, go ask germany and france for some euros. heck, ask ahmadenijad for euros. what portion does england pay? i thought it was england and the balfour doctrine that established israel? i am not so good on my world history. the columbian university president was tough on ahmadenijad! called iraq a proxy war for iran. good for him. good to be critical of him to get him to his senses.
he called
ahmadenijad a fanatic, someone from the left, gets it!
mr. balinger (spelling?)
president of columbia university gets it! he faced down a usa enemy! good for him! he even asked why ahmadenijad was killing homosexuals in his country! good for him!
now, will the msm
put it on the news? but to their credit, 60 minutes was pretty tough on ahmadenijad last nite!
what did i mean by the last statement
no usa, england, australia, then no freedom.
funny
You watch to much fox news.
i got that from
the drudge report, i don't pay for cable tv. the local fox station is more liberal than the big 3.
Try a little of this
Try a little of this from time to time. http://www.truthout.org/ and oh yes and for a real awakening, see what many first class retired Military are talking about here. http://www.patriotsquestion911.com/
from jack d, who used to post here
he forwarded this email to me, do you take issue with it?
IT'S A WARNING FOR ALL
This is very interesting and just a bit scary but is it scary enough to generate something besides talk? I'm afraid far too many Catholics, Protestants, and Jews will wait until it hits them upside the head on a very personal level before they will do something besides talk about it But by then it will be too late. The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States, especially in the minority races!!!
Allah or The Lord Jesus Christ? .. By Rick Mathes Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state & prison security clearance. During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say. The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers. When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: "Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?" There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, "Non-believers!" I responded, "So, let me make sure I have this straight. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?" The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of "a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar." He sheepishly replied, "Yes." I then stated, "Well sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope Benedict commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Charles Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!" The Imam was speechless! I continued, "I also have problem with being your 'friend' when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me! Let me ask you a question. Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?" You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with Rick's way of dealing with the Islamic Imam and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs. In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S to elect the President! I think everyone in the U.S. . should be required to read this, but with our liberal justice system, liberal media and the ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized. The most puzzling thing to me is... once Islam takes over, there will no longer be a liberal media or an ACLU, or a liberal justice system. So in effect, they are slitting their own throats by not publicizing this. If you will, please pass this on to your e-mail contacts. At least that is one thing we can all do. Then no one can say they were not warned in time. This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry. Taqiyya
Your political philosophy
Is becoming tedious, boring, repetitious. Your right wing phobic zealotry is a threat to America's internal security and prosperity, and a threat to those in other nations who for a variety diverse reasons do not view the USA favorably. I am concerned for the many American friends I have had the privilege and honor of meeting and becoming friends with, for your radicalism incites intolerance. If foreign adversaries conclude that America is a hostile threat to themselves, you will reap what you sow.
Remember? The arguments for the "First strike theory"? Being an ex military man, you should.
I am also concerned for those countless millions overseas who view, rightly or wrongly, that America is imperialist: economically, geographically, militarily. I am concerned that those persons and governments abroad who view America's foreign, and even domestic policies, as a threat to themselves will arm themselves with the nucleur technology which will not only protect them, but which can rain a nucleur holocast on this continent.
The intolerance you incite, the sophistry that you utilize to promote your own political agenda, is a catalyst to enourage others, nay, to incite others, into the same camp of fanatacism to which you adhere.
And it incites others across the Globe who are not quite as God loving as you suggest you are.
yawn.....
a traditionalist is a threat? what i read you to say is that you want to be graded upon your intentions instead of your results. i will grade bush below average for allowing usa to be attacked on 9/11. but clinton deserves a worse grade. if being consistant is tedious, then i thank you bc i am not a flip flopper. peace be with you, go to love and serve the lord. Al - Taqiyya y'all
Consistent you are ... we agree on something.
There's nothing wrong with being a traditionalist. There is something definitely disturbing about right wing fanatacism though, even if it is taken in the name of the Lord, and/or patriotism
Succinctly, I see little variance between the fanaticism exhibited by those who view America as the devil incarnate, and the fanatacism you espouse.
If the USA (unfortunately) was/is attacked, you'd better ask yourself why, and not try to slough off on your Presidents the problems of your nation and the way it is viewed by others, because after all, Presidents are doing exactly what they were elected to do. Right or wrong. And if they are wrong, by either your or my standards, even though we are polarized in opinion, they are not fanatical radicals. Fortunately.
I suggest to you Sir, rather than you piously implore me and others to go and love and serve the Lord, you can find it in your heart to do exactly that, precisely as Christ would have. You are definitely, in my book, anything but Christ like. I have some unfortunate news for you: if in fact there is an afterlife, you will not be judged well for your rabid intolerance.
ghandi said,
i like that jesus christ fellow, its those christians i don't know about. my religion is a suicide pact, i understand that. i am to turn the other cheek. while i may give to charities, do community service work and let a homeless person live at one of my daddy's businesses, i miss the mark. i want to be around to raise my kids. however, i am a little intolerant of people, less than honorable, attacking my country. and i don't think it is bc of anything but "we are the great satan." i take that to mean that we are not wahhabists. maybe ahmadenijad and the ayatollah only want nukes for power. its not like they aren't sitting upon one of the greatest oil reserves known to all of mankind? what did i say untoward about you? Al Taqiyya.
objectivity
i asked my friend that used to post here about our disagreement. his reply, "Just think, without you, all those peace-loving liberals would sound like peace-loving liberals."
but i do get attacked
but i do get attacked from time to time by the less than compassionate liberals. no one prays for peace like a soldier. edward1, what did you think of ihateithere? did you have compassion for him?
To answer your question
Why don't you read my comments on his blog.
thanks,
i will. never really have read your stuff before. but now that i sense a lack of compassion for my differing viewpoint, i will read your stuff.
I have compassion for those who hurt.
You do not strike me as a person who is hurting. You do, however, strike me as a person who is totally inflexible, a brick wall, who, when his views are challenged, invokes patriotism, love of his God, to justify his position, thereby making himself God like, and therefore impervious to error. People who hold such positions, some Muslim terrorists, for example, are dangerous. I view your inflexibility on a host of issues as intolerance. It's an "America...Love it or leave it" stance. It's one step before "Accept what I say, and do as your told, or it's the firing squad." Enough said on this issue. I'm out. This dialogue is getting too personal. My apologies.
i understand concern for the hurting
i am sure the iranian people are hurting. that is a refined civilization of 3,000 years. they did not want the shah and i suspect they do not want a theocracy either.
and
they don't want the Americans, either, or the "Coalition of the Willing" or whatever its called.
i suspect i see
far more people that are hurting in my job than you. and i understand that. i have been on the other side of my job and have dealt with a few people that would not listen. and i do plan on leaving usa upon retirement. i posted a pbs special where the us army is helping with community projects across africa. and i am sure that is more helpful than the other side of the firing squad. i don't mind being challenged fairly, as growth only comes from leaving one's comfort zone. i thank you for challenging me and i look forward to buying you a beer, if you will allow me. don't worry, no one listens to me anyway. i did not mean to get personal. one of my best friends who is a liberal here, thinks i am a liberal. maybe bc i was raised by my dear liberal momma who believes in social justice. tranquilo and Taqiyya.
You're mistaken
People do listen to you. You invoked a response from me, to begin with. We'll drink to your mother. Salud.

You really need to get a handle on things son. You are seriously starting to waste my time now.

infidels
From Mr. Mathes website http://www.charityadvantage.com/missiongateministry/AllahorJesus.asp "UPDATE 9-11-06 Dear Faithful Readers,
I would like to take this time to bring you up to date on the response of this article and the criticisms I have been receiving. Virtually all the critics are attacking the statement the "all Muslims are called to kill infidels." This is not true of course and I didn^t make that statement, "
objection, the rule of completeness....
(personally, i love my enemies too)
Dear Faithful Readers,
I would like to take this time to bring you up to date on the response of this article and the criticisms I have been receiving. Virtually all the critics are attacking the statement the "all Muslims are called to kill infidels." This is not true of course and I didn^t make that statement, I invited the Imam to correct it which he didn^t for whatever reasons you might suspect. I asked real questions that millions of us "infidels" would like to have asked a Muslim Imam.
It is not unusual for a Priest, Minister or Imam to be a prisoner and in charge of an inmate service. The Muslims of this prison selected this inmate to be their Imam and the Department of Corrections chose him to be the Imam that explained their faith to us. We had no reason to question his credentials. Nor do I now.
Almost every critic attacks the messenger "me" and does^t touch the message. The message is:
"Would you rather have an Allah who says to kill me to go to heaven or a Jesus who says for me to love you because I am going to heaven and He would like you to be with me? "
This is the biggest I LOVE YOU I am capable of extending to my Muslims cousins. This is not a hate article. It is one extended in love with the sword of the Word rather that the sword of cresent.
Baloney!
there is no difference between a right wing evangelist preaching hate while saying love of God than a Islamic extremist preaching hate saying love of Allah
Personal opinion is throw both into the fiery pit!!
Rant Alert
Come on chaps, this has absolutely nothing to do with Nicaragua nor will any useful conclusions develop from it.
