NicaPlaza?

Yes, this is self-promotion. But success at http://www.NicaPlaza.com can be a win for all. Free classifieds. Free business directory. Real estate ads. The business directory allows ratings and comments.
But, there is more than self-promotion. Yesterday, I realized the next NicaLiving upgrade (to Drupal 5.2) will break a couple of things we have here. We have a hotel "list" and a restaurant "list". There are not a lot of entries but there are some.
I realized that rather than try to manipulate these entries into a new form (for Drupal experts, from using Flexinode to CCK), my time is better spent fixing some things in NicaPlaza and encouraging you to add those businesses that you listed here onto NicaPlaza. It is the better long-term solution.
No firm date yet on the update but if I see a lull in the number of people signed on here, I might just give it a try.

The plan
The real estate ads are not free. Classifieds and basic business directory are. No plans to change that.
I say basic business directory because anyone can put up a regular business listing. There are some options--adding a logo and/or photo. That isn't implemented yet (because the billing system isn't there yet) but there will always be the free basic listing. If everyone can't list their business, then the directory will never be universally useful.
Classifieds is an experiment. Let's see what happens.
