Galeria del Sur In San Juan del SurSubmitted by DanPolley on 22 August, 2007 - 13:43.
4 August 2007 San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua - San Juan del Sur now has its first art gallery, displaying original works by Nicaraguan artists from Rivas, Managua and from the San Juan del Sur area. The gallery was donated by the Quinn family of Colorado. Barry Oliver and David Brownlee of Century 21 put their Project Management Team to work, led by Joey Mintz, and almost totally reconstructed the existing building. At the back of the gallery is a tastefully designed private courtyard which, in the future, will hold photo and art workshops, children’s classes, theatre performances, or will be available to rent for special functions. Proceeds of the art sales will help support the projects sponsored by the Fundación A. Jean Brugger, including the school uniform program.
