Señor GranadSherif a follow up not an attack

This is a follow up to your post on 8/18/10 Interesting Article Today and your response Individuals bettering Themselves as a response to mine. Reading the Washington Post today I came accross a letter to the editor: 20 years on, education gaps persists. Interesting and I read the Kathleen Parker's 8/15 op- ed column . I hope you check it out.

I am impressed Senor Juanno

Ruben Dario is of course my favorite poet and this particular poem Cancion de Otono en Primavera. To me it speaks of innocence lost and yet the hope of the romantic fool that after all he's been through and at the prelude of his old age with every new day dawning another chance is rising . A golden dawn that is there for the taking for all of us no matter how long and hard the game has been. The topic we were commenting on the other post about the parties using the youth to their advantage made me think about this poem and if you read it closely you'll see the parallels.

Senor GranadaSherif first I hope that you are doing well and that your time in Nicaragua is one full of success in all of your endeavors. I want to make a couple of points to you if I may. First my coming back to Nicaragua is not and will not be dictated by how things are in Nicaragua. What makes me yearn about Nicaragua is a love of country that money or status can't buy, I've made a life here and I'm weaning myself from it in order to realise my American dream and that is, to me,to go back to Nicaragua for good.

Orange Sherbet

I've just woken to the song Friday I'm in love. I fell asleep on the sofa in our living room while my girlfriend was watching the movie He's just not that into you. I think she went out jogging. The walls are painted Orange Sherbet and at this time of day the sunlight that filters through the blinds from the sliding door to the deck gives it a creamy texture to the color. All of a sudden I get a craving for ice cream . Orange Sherbet.

Needed to be taken from Cofradia to Boaco. As it was customary if it was Sunday, while in Managua, I was at the movies for the matinee show at Las Mercedes. This Sunday in particular it was a good thing I, along with my cousins Victor y Eduardo, were at the movies and not at home. As we walked home we noticed a nervous air on people's faces and my mom and aunt waiting for us along with the other mothers on our block. Some were crying as if something bad had happened.

Politics , Religion and Opinions at a Garden Party

Every one has one . The subjects of politics , religion and opinions on matters that are of importance when debated will surely expose us to other points of view that not always be to our liking . I came across this site and found it interesting to read about the experiences of those that had made Nicaragua their new home . The photos brought back memories of places that I cherished and also of places that I've yet to see for myself . The entries I've read and replied to I've chosen to read and participate of my free will .

Nicaraguan behavior

At first I told myself not to pay attention to mujermagnetica post about the " myth of the macho latino " , but when I saw how many responses it elicited I gave in . I'm going to give you the reason why Nicaraguans , both women and men , behave the way we do , although I try my best not to engage in such behavior but since I'm a nica I include myself .

A revision of Mr Revisionist crgsmguy's Guanacaste History.

Mr crgsmguy says : Costa Rica didn't steal Guanacaste . He is right when he says that . Anybody that goes around saying otherwise need to learn more about Nicaragua and Costa Rica's history . " Due to the civil war in Nic. the inhabitants voted to become part of Costa Rica in 1824 ." The year was 1824 , and it was not a civil war . Nicaragua was not yet a country as the rest of the other " Provinces ". Costa Rica due to its location , the southernmost of the region , was a little less if not completely involved on the armed conflict .
