On the subject of religion

Average: 2.2 (5 votes)

There is no need to ban the discussion of religion, like that of any other subject, such as race, it bears intelligent conversation. Me trying to foist my religious views on you is where it wears thin. In your reorganization, Sn FYL and Nicareal, banning such a topic is a bit nieve, especially if you are going to be a site useful for cultural exchange on a country such as Nicaragua. Ban preaching or proselytizing is better.

Nicanor's Farewell Address

Due to a unfair conduct of the site owner, i say good bye to the ,members of NL, I'm pretty sure that my conduct hasn't violated any properly behavior either make offense to anybody.

Happen that sometimes some people can't handle the pressure and want to be completely unchallenged and irrefutable.

In the thread http://nicaliving.com/node/16662 one of my comments was label in red capital letters like a HIJACK THREAD, so first i inquire about that and later i make some comments with some ironic sense, both were erased, but not the label on my comments.

People who fight about nothing

0

I don't get a chance to write much these days but I do read. For the life of me I can't see why some fairly smart people are indulging in such a petty little catfight over nothing. Whether Mujermagnetica's stories are true or not is moot because like much of what is said on here we other NL members have no way to verify any of that. So what is the point of Nicareal and Juano leading the charge against her exactly?

Elections in Honduras

I am ready for the elections even if Mel isn't. While I will not be voting, I will be more than happy to congratulate whoever wins. As far as nobody recognizing the elections as legal as soon as they are finished and the results are in everybody is going to breathe a sigh of relief and wave goodbye to the whole mess. Roberto and Mel will both be retired and be mutually forgiven for their sins and Hondurans and everyone else will move on.

Congratulations to the people of Nicaragua

who peacefully marched in the in the mass demonstration against the Ortega cabal yesterday. Nice to see the 62% of Nicaraguans who want a clean and democratic government stand up for what is right aginst the evil that is wrong. I salute you

Viva Libertad! Viva Democracia! Viva Nicaragua!

Why so quiet, FYL?

usually when you have mobs going into the street supporting leftist causes you are all over it with the reporting. Now with "las turbas Orteguistas" orchestrating violence in the streets of Managua you seem strangely silent compared to the overflowing accolades you had for the same mob supporting Zelaya in Honduras- why is that?

Zelaya's neverending pajama party saga continues

Little did Lula suspect he was going to have a ex-president running around Honduran embassy forever when he opened the doors to Mel. Wonder if Lula has same policy as I do on guests. My friends get to stay 1 month free, them I charge them rent. Anyway -here is the latest on Mel from Reuters

Mel's pajama party at the Brazilian Embassy continues

Poor Ol Mel has made another pronouncement-he will no longer negotiate his return. Looks like everybody else had already decided that but it took Mel a little while to catch on. Anyway-full article is at this link for those who are not yet bored stiff with Honduras.

' ah well-just a few more days and Mel will be a footnote to history. Betcha' Lula won't be making that sort fo mistake again.

here's a little article by Tim Rogers in the Ticotimes

http://www.ticotimes.net/dailyarchive/2009_10/1026092.cfm

You know it's always interesting that Tim gets criticized so much, especially about his pro-Sandinista leanings but still keeps producing balanced articles which get publicized in many places. Good thing his income is not derived from the critics on the NL Board.
