Curious as to comments....

I have looked seriously around Jinotega for possibilities for living over the years. I really like the town and the problem is that it is just to "dark" to may clouds ..not enough sunshine.

As I meditate on the whole Nicaragua experience one of the most dangerous aspects of visiting the country is personal saftey in Managua especialy.

I was given good advise from a gringa who lives in Rivas..she told me to always find "an old man in an old taxi" this is sound advise and I always seek "an old man in an old cab" ( A more mature driver)

If anyone can comment please...

I have heard that there has been a recent decision by the Nicaraguan government that no longer allows the issuance of "supplimentary" real estate titles.

Has anyone heard of this decison?

Would be thankfull for advise on the quality of life and differences between Somoto and Jinotega.

Have been to Jinotega many times and absolutely love it..nice people..beautiful setting (no crudy "over urban feel")..nice climate ..just one possible Major problem for me personally ..its a little dark and cloudy for my taste..would prefer a local with a little more direct sun.

This month a gringo family with a small farm outside of Leon became victims of a home invasion.

I understand they were roughed up badly and have left for the states. This story has been confirmed by another NL memeber who met them.

I personaly first saw this project two years ago and then more recently ..is anyone familiar with the progress of this project..and or other comments?

With great sadness we read of a Nicaliving memeber who is with us and her loved ones no more.

All I have read is that she was murdered in Granada.

Does anyone have any facts regarding the exact situation regarding this horrible crime?

Can anyone please tell me the correct Nico phrase(term) for a real estate "BILL OF SALE"

As example ...someone makes an agreement to sell someone real property and receives payment..what we call in the USA "Bill OF SALE"
