Basically involving One of our Universities, Google Software, The U.S. Patriot Act and our Canadian Privacy Laws. 8000 students and Faculty members adopted free Google leading edge software saving a bundle in the process.

At this time of year, even if I now live in Canada, I still think of Christmas in Scotland from years gone by, especially New Years Eve, which is big in Scotland. I was wondering, as I might spend a Christmas in Nicaragua and New years in the not too distant future. Whats it like as an expat? what do you do with yourself?

A doctor friend of mine suggested that I get Hepatitis A and B shots before my trip to Nicaragua in November. That got me to thinking if this is common practice for N.L. Members visiting or living in Nicaragua. In addition to any other preventitive medicines worth considering?

Does anyone know where I can buy a manual coffee grinder in Nicaragua? I assume Managua. I wanted to buy one for a friend when I get there in November. Or should I buy one in Canada and lug it there? Thanks for any suggestions.

That's the name of a new Bank to be announced (as formed) on June 26th. Venezuela, Argentina and Bolivia will seek to replace the I.M.F and World Bank by contributing some of their international reserves to form this regional Bank. Brazil, Ecuador and Paraguay may also join.
